Qahr finished ninth in Belmont Park’s seventh race, a Maiden Claiming $20,000 at one mile on the turf.

Powerful Instinct finished ninth in Belmont Park’s eighth race, an Allowance N1X at 1 1/16 miles on the turf for NY-breds.

Cash Your Ticket finished sixth in Belmont Park’s tenth race, a Maiden Special Weight at 1 1/16 miles on the turf for NY-breds.

Hardened Wildcat finished second in Pimlico’s tenth race, the Maryland Sprint Handicap (G3) at six furlongs.

Skyring ($50.40) finished FIRST in Pimlico’s eleventh race, the Dixie Stakes (G2) at 1 1/8 miles on the turf.

Friday, May 17, 2013

Puget Sound ($7.40) finished FIRST in Belmont Park’s third race, a Maiden Claiming $50,000-$40,000 at one mile.

Hot Rendezvous finished third in Belmont Park’s seventh race, a Maiden Special Weight at six furlongs on the turf for NY-breds.  This was a decent return and she stays on the list.

Hear the Word finished fourth in Pimlico’s fifth race, an Allowance N1X at 1 1/16 miles on the turf.  I took a shot because it was Preakness weekend, but since he’s stabled out of town it’s probably time to remove him from the list.

D’Princess ($4.00) finished FIRST in Belmont Park’s third race, a Claiming $25,000 at six furlongs for fillies and mares.

Sky Blazer finished fourth in Belmont Park’s eighth race, the Good Reward Stakes at 1 1/4 miles on the turf.  This unlucky gelding had another tough trip.

Saturday, May 11, 2013

Big City Boy finished third in Belmont’s fifth race, an Allowance N1X at seven furlongs for NY-breds.  He walked out of the gate about five lengths behind the field and made a huge run through the stretch to just miss second.  He was much the best and it’s nice to see he can still run that well, but it’s a bit troubling that he’s come away from the gate very slowly twice in a row now.

Friday, May 10, 2013

Taylor Jagger finished second in Belmont Park’s seventh race, a Maiden Claiming $20,000 at 1 1/16 miles.

Thursday, May 9, 2013

Bigger Is Bettor finished third in Belmont Park’s second race, an Optional Claiming $25,000/N2X at one mile for NY-breds.  He had a perfect trip today and couldn’t capitalize on it.  It seems that he just doesn’t want to win so he’s off the list.

Mine Over Matter ($4.80) finished FIRST in Belmont Park’s fifth race, the Corma Ray Stakes at seven furlongs for NY-breds.

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

Norumbega finished fifth in Belmont Park’s eighth race, an Optional Claiming $75,000/N1X at 1 1/16 miles.  He got involved in a quick pace and that’s probably not his ideal running style.

Al Aqsa finished third in Belmont Park’s ninth race, a Maiden claiming $35,000 at 1 1/16 miles.  Perhaps Al Aqsa didn’t like the mud so I’ll give him one more chance.

Sunday, May 5, 2013

Vaid finished eighth in Belmont Park’s seventh race, a Maiden Special Weight at six furlongs for NY-bred fillies and mares.  She didn’t move forward the way I expected her to off her first race.  I’ll give her one more shot.

Saturday, May 4, 2013

King Kreesa finished third in Belmont Park’s seventh race, the Fort Marcy Stakes (G3) at 1 1/16 miles on the turf.  He set a very quick pace and had every right to bet a bit tired late.  He deserves yet another chance.

Friday, May 3, 2013

Hot Roots finished sixth in Belmont Park’s fourth race, an Optional Claiming $25,000/N1X at six and one-half furlongs.  She’s off the list.

Idle American finished eighth in Belmont Park’s ninth race, an Optional Claiming $35,000/N2X at 1 1/16 miles on the turf.  He moved way too soon into a fast pace and should benefit from this race.

Tokyo Time finished fourth in Churchill Downs’ seventh race, the Edgewood Stakes at 1 1/16 miles on the turf for three year-old fillies.  It was a disappointing effort, but she deserves a second chance.

Thursday, May 2, 2013

Bluegrass Rumor ($4.20) finished FIRST in Belmont Park’s second race, a Claiming $14,000 at seven furlongs for fillies and mares.

Eddy Gourmet ($9.30) finished FIRST in Belmont Park’s fifth race, a Maiden Claiming $65,000 at 1 1/16 miles on the turf for three year-old fillies.

Newbie finished fourth in Belmont Park’s eighth race, an Optional Claiming $35,000/N2X at six furlongs for NY-bred fillies and mares.

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Dynamic Host finished eighth in Belmont’s second race, a Starter Optional Claiming $16,000 at one mile.  He seems to have gone off form so I’m removing him from the list.

Vexor finished second in Belmont’s third race, an Optional Claiming $35,000/N3L at six furlongs.  This was a very strong effort and I believe he’s moving in the right direction.

Awesome Vision finished fourth in Belmont’s eighth race, an Optional Claiming $75,000/N3X at one mile.  He may want more ground.
