At this point, I’m guessing you’ve noticed that I’ve done quite a bit of redecorating. While I was trimming some of the fat off of the site, I figure that I would also give it a much-needed makeover. I realize that you had probably grown accustomed to the ‘old’ look and feel, but there’s no need to be alarmed if this all looks unfamiliar. All of these updates were made in the interest of being as straightforward as possible, and I believe this new sleek design helps me accomplish that goal. After you poke around for a couple of minutes, I think you’ll agree.
These are the most noteworthy changes:
The old My Bets page has been broken into two new pages: Daily Picks and Bankroll. Rather than tallying my wagers on a weekly basis, I will instead completely refresh the selections and wagers on the Daily Picks page with every passing raceday, and will record each day’s wins and losses on the Bankroll page. Since I’ll no longer be archiving any wagers on these pages, the blog entries will now become more frequent than ever. In fact, I plan to record each day’s selections in a blog entry regardless of whether or not I’ve written analysis.
I will no longer be keeping track of Horses to Watch, which was some of the ‘fat’ that I was referring to above. However, I will continue to fervently watch replays and will occasionally record some trip notes and observations on the website, either within my raceday analysis, or in concise separate entries.
I’m very pleased with the way these updates have turned out, and I hope you agree that this is an improvement.
