Race 5: Claiming $16,000 at six furlongs for fillies and mares
Go Olivia Go (#7) should be very tough as she turns back in distance after having no chance against the bias last week. She’s done well enough sprinting in the past and is arguably in the best form of her career right now. The main danger is probably a loose on the lead She’s Gosphel, although she’s surrendered such advantages too many times in the past for me to take her too seriously.

Race 7: Claiming $20,000 at one mile for NY-breds
I’m pretty skeptical of all three favorites. Pure Attitude is off form, Precious Metal is dressed up off bias and pace aided trips, and Artie Luvsto Party comes back on short rest, which is a terrible move for Rudy. I think this is a spot to get a little creative, so I’ve landed on Southbeachsandy (#1). He could be the inside speed as he stretches out. His one-mile race on January 12th is better than it appears as he rode a deal rail that day and then last time he was checked badly in midstretch and likely would have been second otherwise. He’ll probably need to run a Beyer speed figure in the 70s to win this, but I don’t think that’s out of the realm of possibility and he’s sure to be a huge price.

Race 8: Allowance N1X at 1 1/8 miles
I’m glad to see that they’ve finally gelded Ghareeb (#2), who was a total head case when last seen as a 3 year-old. I have the utmost respect for likely favorite Ruthless Alley, but this could be the right time to take a shot with a horse like Ghareeb, who has hinted that at having some real talent.
